...For a start...

When I was very young, we hardly travelled as a family. As far as I can remember, my school holidays were always spent at the village with my cousins. We would swim in the river, helped out at the fruit orchards or rice fields, etc.

But the most memorable trip the family had taken was a trip from Bintulu to Kuching back in 1983. We took a 3 hours bus journey from Bintulu to Sibu. Spent the nite in Sibu. Did a bit of sight seeing there.

The following day, we took the ferry to Sarikei and spent the nite there. We continued our journey the next day by bus to Sri Aman, and again spent the nite there. And the last leg of the journey was from Sri Aman to Kuching. Managed to spend few days of sight seeing in Kuching. After a journey of over 700 km by land transport, we flew back to Bintulu.

I could hardly remember the details of the trip but only remembered the journey I took with my late father.
